Cat Daddy's Day Celebration

Hi everyone, it's me Dori. *wavy paws* I wanted to check in with yoo to make sure yoo are doing well and the summertime hoomiditty hasn't melted yoor bwains. Yes, I know Summer doesn't offically start until next Wednesday, but here in FloryDa it has been hunkered down like a smelly ol' toad in our catio since April. In case yoo are wonderpurring, my bwains are nice 'n chill... like plump pink shwimps relaxing on a bed of ice chips. It's the Tabby Way to be chill during the worst of summer heat.

So, what have yoo been up to since we last meowed? Are yoo following the Yellowstone saga where Kevy Costner is definitely leaving and making everyone else in the cast lose their jobs? Or that Laramie and Walker are a couple in real life?

Are yoo happy that American Idol has been renewed for Season 22 and Celebrity Family Feud has been renewed for Season 9, but dismayed by Disney+ cancelling Big Shot, National Treasure, The Mighty Ducks, The Mysterious Benedict Society and Willow, most after one season. Looks like Mickey Mouse is getting his tail jerked pretty hard while trying to please everybody yet pleasing nobody. Purrsonally I don't care. Mostly because I've never been to Disney World, plus I don't watch hoomon television shows cuz I've got better things to do.

Like prowl the catio after dark while mysterious creatures pass through my yard. It's very exciting. The other night three deer sisters - Sophia, Blanche and Rose - wandered by with Sophia's daughter Dorothy straggling behind. Dorothy stopped to sniff the air by the catio corner where I was hiding. I waved, but she didn't wave back. So rood.

Anyway, this coming Sunday is Father's Day and Momma has arranged for us to surprise him with gifts and maybe some special noms. I'm hoping those noms include Churu's because those are my most favorite treats in the whole world.

Our Daddy is the bestest one in our whole wurld. He is mostly patient with us spweading our love all around the house, mostly on furniture <like, duh!> and on his clothes. He's vewy talented when it comes to cleaning our poo boxes, and he gives his lap for us to sleep on.

What I love most about our Daddy is he plays with us. He makes forts out of towels and drapes them over furniture, and he creates box caves and was the one who said we should buy another teevee for the Senior Cat Apartment so Cat TV on YouTube would be available for everyone to enjoy while Wabbit was running amok throughout the house.

Daddy is also a very easy touch when it comes to handing out treats, which why some of my fursibs are stretching their cat suits a bit wider than they really should.

Lately Daddy has been very busy fixing stuff and updating old stuff at our house. Much like he's been doing since we moved here three years ago this month. I can't believe it's been three years. I overheard Momma tell Daddy she is shocked we still live here, as she's been campaigning to move since July of 2020. Momma doesn't like hoomidditty, so I suspect there will be one more future move for our family.

While Daddy is doing house stuff, Momma has been struggling to get Wabbit's book written. She has a self-imposed deadline which is fweaking her out because she is getting a lot of inpurruptions that cause her brain to melt... much like the hoomidditty. In fact, right now as I write this at my desk in Momma's office, I can hear her telling Elly "no" to her request to have some of MY cat treats that Momma hides in her desk. They're my treats, but Elly found out and has been making a lil piggy of herself.

Anyway, if yoo notice we aren't posting weekly on our blog it's because Momma's bwain finally ran out of her ears and there is nothing left to do but hope it grows back.

I wish yoo all a Wonderpurr Father's Day, hopefully with enough Churu's for all to enjoy.

Until next time...

  4. Dear Dori, what a lovely update on FlorDa and TV shows. Lynn watches none you mentioned. But she's old and gets TV shows on DVD frum the liberry. We gotz the deers too and now the babies are out and about a bit. Your daddy deserves lots of noms and toys on Sunday. Hope he then shares it all with just you, Dori. The rest of the family will have to wait their turn, mol. and of course, you need your momma to get her brains back, so help hunt for overflow. Precious psst, we gotz the furnace running, and I can not go outside fur the wetness on the patio.

  8. May was colder than normal, but June is making up for it with a vengeance! We are getting 80F which is hot for SW England and near 90% humidity. It is supposed to get a bit cooler after the weekend but 100% humidity. Please don't let us have 100F like we did last year!! I hope your daddy has a lovely Father's Day.

  15. Dori, you always entertain us, and today was no exception. We love that you all named the deer after the Golden Girls. Mom and Dad have not watched any of those TV shows you mentioned. The only show Mom watched that didn't come back for a second season, which really disappointed her, was the Big Leap on Fox. The peeps mostly watch BritBox. And Mom is almost finished rewatching all five seasons of Fringe on MAX. Even after the second time around, she still keeps asking Mr. Google questions trying to figure out what is going on. We wish we could go out on the catio at night so we could yell at the stoopid groundhog who keeps eating mom's flowers. We don't know why we can't stay out after dark. We hope your wonderful dad had a great Father's Day. He's definitely a keeper. And we sure hope Mom Kim's brain heals, as we all want to read Rabbit's book. Finally, our mom said to tell your mom that she's now lost 16 pounds on Noom and only has 10 more to go. Sending love to all of you from all of us, including our peeps. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
