Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: My Life is Wonderpurr

Left - Annie, Top - Patsy, Right - Nikolas, Bottom - Dori

Hi evfurryone, this is Dori. *wavy paws* Today I'm joining Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Once Upon a Time... there was a family with no home. Momma Annie and Daddy Nikolas had twin panfur sons, and twin tabby daughters all born during Octopurr. With winter on its way they were anxious to find shelter to protect their babies.

One day shortly before Christmas Momma Annie found a backyard where raccoons enjoyed kibbles and fresh water every day. She then brought her family to that yard where the lady who fed the raccoons was aghast to see six kitties show up all at once. Usually it was one or two... but SIX! Yes, she did fweak out.

But she did the right thing and brought them all indoors where they were kept warm and fed until it was time for them to go to the Forever Homes.

I'm so Thankful that I - one of the tabby twins - got my Forever Home, along with my daddy Nikolas - with the lady who rescued us. I've never had an empty tummy ever again, and I always get medicine when I don't feel so good. I don't have fleas, or have to worry about being chased by big birds or scary hunters like foxes and dogs. True, I have to deal with AssWabbit, but I'm very grateful Momma realized our friendship was over and she keeps me safe from his excessive need to jump on me and put the bitey on my neck.

Anyway, I cannot expwess how much it means to those of us who lived in fear every day, unwanted and hungry, to find our Forever Homes. All of my fursibs come with baggage because of their time on the road - and some are still dealing with it years later, like Fwank and KC. So I'm especially Thankful that my momma understands that Rescue doesn't mean getting the perfect "pet." It means saving a Life and providing that Life with every necessity possible - regardless of sickness, behavior issues, and cost of care especially in senior years - until they pass over the rainbow bridge.

I wish yoo all a Wonderpurr Life with Forever Homes that are really and truly FOREVER Homes.

Love, Dori
