Happy Jifabu Day

Did you know Tuesday was Scrabble Day?

As life simmers down to a dull roar around Chateau Wonderpurr, Ray and I are playing Scrabble more often, both the board game and on our phones.

Ray isn't one to sit around watching television, and he isn't a big reader, so the challenge for me was finding something that would keep him entertained, other than exploring his new Facebook account, and showing me cute animal videos (the ones I'd just posted on my account.) He's still getting the hang of Facebook, and his other passion is exploring Class Rock videos on his phone at high volume, some of which I'd never heard, even though I grew up alongside him listening to Detroit Motown music. Float On by The Floaters is one example.

Anyway, Ray enjoys the mental stimulation of playing Scrabble, taking pride in making two words for extra points, while I enjoy the challenge of making up words to see if he questions me. And yes, I always have a definition of my fake word ready to go. For example, Jifabu is the state of confusion created by too many choices at a fast food restaurant.

I just know the next time you're staring at a fast food menu at say Toxic Bell, Booger King, Subweigh, or the House that Ronald Built, you're going to think, "I'm feeling incredibly Jifabu."

Also, you should probably be thinking... "I can't eat this junk no mo. Craving a salad, made at home with a crisp apple for dessert."

Of course there can't be a board game night without someone from the Wonderpurr Gang pawticipating... like Dori. She's actually a very creative speller... for someone of the kitteh-speak purrswayshun.

Happy Scrabble Day!

  1. Aw on the kitty playing scrabble. They do have their own speak and we let them.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

  2. Those letters wouldn't stay on the board for very long if Simon spotted them!

  3. That is a great word and we must agree. Dad went to Ronalds House the other week as it was across from our new vet. First time in a year for him and he is sure it may be two years till next time.

  4. I love that word! I can't remember the last time we had fast food, it was long before Covid, but I will remember Jifabu!

  5. Jifabu will now be part of Mom’s vocabulary. She and Dad used to play Scrabble just about everyday before she started our blog. Mom will have to start begging Dad to play again sometime soon. Happy belated Scrabble Day. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
