The Great Romance

Hi evfurryone, it's me Dori, back from a bweak forced upon me by my momanager who says the summer hoomiditty has melted her bwain cells, and she lost her energy to do anything more than binge watch Yellowstone. Beth is her favorite character.

Anyway! Let me tell yoo what's been happening at my house:

So, then the next morning, I awoke to this BWEAKING NOOZ!

Is it just me, or does KC look like he's been over indulging in Meowiwowie?

When KC joined our family back in 2019, he had been on the road for awhile. He was afraid of my mom, and palled around with the raccoons. It took Honeybear, Mom's favorite raccoon, to reassure KC that Mom wasn't going to hurt him. Mom says she recalled how she was feeding Honeybear after she had been missing for a few months, and she was so happy to see her, that she brought her a bag of peanuts and they were practically hugging each other. And KC saw the whole thing. The very next day, after leaving the yard whenever Mom entered, KC stayed, and didn't run when she gave him food.

Life got better for KC. My pawrents built him shelter in the woods for the winter, making it extremely cozy. He got to know Mom better, and eventually let her pick him up. But then in November a storm was rolling in, and Mom knew KC's home would be lost in the flood. So she scooped him up and brought him into the house. And the first to welcome him was Candy.

Candy is like that. She is a natural born Welcome Wagon. We used to be really tight furends until Elly joined our family. Then Candy started hanging out with Elly like they were old furends, and I got kinda sorta jellus, and ... well. Never mind, it's all in the past.

Candy welcomed KC, got his life story over a bowl of noms, gave him a baff, and then introduced him around to the rest of the Wonderpurr Gang. We were all pretty shocked when Fwank didn't run him off. Fwank can be kinda territorial. He still gives Jesse the Toothless Wonder a hard time here at our Flory-Da home. But nope, he liked KC right away.

That was back in 2019. Over the past two years Candy has ... um... convinced KC that they were meant to be together furever. He's a pretty chill guy. Everyone loves him. But no one looooves him more than Candy. Every day they can be found sprawled in the middle of the kitchen or the living woom, or in Mom's office, licking each other like they were the favorite flavor of the month. I barf up enough hairballs without adding someone else's hair to my tongue. <yuck>

So now they're engaged. Not sure what that means exactly. Something tells me this will be an engagement longer than the one between Oprah and Stedman.

Until next time...
